We navigate borders and bridge the space in between them. We are KAUKAU, embracing contemporary art & design as one through the sensibilities that inform them both.

Acknowledging the limits of permanence, we have created a space that includes an evolving group of makers, designers & artists that we collaborate with. They in turn define KAUKAU as we form a visual narrative that ebbs and flows, imbued by moments of interest and a kaupapa that has always informed us.

Kingsroy is a destination for visitors to interact with art, lighting, jewellery, furniture and objects. Situated in the creative western end of New Plymouth at 106 Devon Street West, New Plymouth, and just around the corner from the Len Lye Centre and Govett-Brewster Art Gallery.

In store, an entrance space invites you in from the street, artworks are displayed across two gallery spaces, and bespoke furniture & fittings are part of the careful curation of the Kingsroy showroom.

Online, visitors can view current exhibitions and an extensive stockroom with many works from New Zealand artists.
